X-ray endovascular treatment of patients with posttraumatic aneurysms of the internal carotid artery
AbstractThe article describes different methods of X-ray endovascular treatment of posttraumatic aneurysms of the internal carotid artery after a mine-blast injury.
In order to exclude a pseudoaneurysm from the circulation, one patient was subjected to sequential implantation of two self-expanding double-mesh stents and another patient received a balloon-expandable endoprosthesis.
These clinical cases demonstrate the possibility of using X-ray endovascular methods of treatment of patients with posttraumatic aneurysms of the internal carotid artery, thus making it possible to replace technically complicated open operations.
