The peer-review process accepted in the Editorial Board of the journal “Angiology and Vascular Surgery” is as follows:

  • On submission, each article (manuscript) is registered;
  • Each article submitted undergoes double-blind peer-review by leading experts within the same field of research (on a confidential basis). Additional experts may be invited by peer-reviewers only with the permission of the Editorial Board.
  • All peer-reviewers are qualified specialists on the subject of the Journal, having over the past 3 years publications on the subject of the articles being reviewed.
  • In case of a positive review, its copy is e-mailed to the author. The article is sent for consideration of the Editorial Council and Executive Editor to decide upon publication of the material in one of the issues of the Journal. As a rule, priority of publication is observed, depending on the time of manuscript submission.
  • In case of a negative review, its copy is e-mailed to the author with a justified refusal, indicating reasons according to which the submitted material cannot be published in the Journal.
  • If there are inconsiderable editorial remarks, the manuscript is returned to the author for revision, to be sent back for discussion of the taken into account remarks by the peer-reviewer.
  • Peer-reviews are kept in the Editorial Board’s archive for 5 years.
  • On request, the Editorial Board sends copies of peer-reviews to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
